This past week was an exciting week here at Hello!! Salamanca. We have started to get ready for Halloween on October 31st! The school is decorated and we are getting our costumes ready!
We had the opportunity to teach students at Colegio Sagrado Corazon about Halloween in the United States. The students learned new English words about Halloween and the history of where Halloween originated. Their favorite part was learning about Trick-or-Treating and watching popular Halloween videos! The students had a great time learning about this tradition and were excited to tell us their favorite Halloween costume!
Hello!! also hosted the Erasmus Student Network for a presentation about communication, presentation, and public speaking skills. This workshop was helpful for students to learn how to improve their projects for school and learn professional etiquette. The students also learned more business terms in English, which helped to strengthen their professional vocabulary.
Last week’s radio show was about fun fall activities such as apple picking, pumpkin picking, scarecrows, haunted houses, and more! We also had the president of The European Law Students’ Association talk about their organization and tell us about their upcoming events! Next week we will talk more about Halloween on the show. So be sure to tune in Thursdays at 5pm on Radio USAL or listen live at: http://radio.usal.es/ .
